98G Application Rate Calculator

Estimate a recommended 98G application rate for either correction or maintenance. Correction mode uses the U of Wisconsin-based 98G equation set with a built-in safety net for low results (see below). Maintenance mode is 1:1 lb of 98G to nitrogen units applied.

Generally, single-year applications should be limited to 800 lb/acre for economic and logistical reasons, but in certain casese, higher rates may be agronomically justified. Rates in excess of 800 lb/acre can be split across multiple years.

Low CEC soils typically do not respond well to buffer pH-based recommendation calculations and may return low rates or even zero rates despite soil pH being below the target. A safety net application regimen has been included in the calculations in an attempt to bridge this known issue. If abnormal rates show up with your data entered, please contact agronomy@calciumproducts.com to discuss your situation.
